Getting Started in Carry the Glass Together

A first-hour plan for the Roblox 2-player glass obby.

Getting Started

Carry the Glass Together is a Roblox 2-player co-op obby from Ritronics Studios. You spawn as construction workers around a lobby statue that already holds a pane overhead — a joke and a warning. Your job is to pick up a fragile sheet of glass with a partner and carry it through a colorful construction site: water channels, plank bridges, yellow-black striped beams, swinging hammers, and a tower of cranes. This page is the first session, not the full climb. For the full route, use how to beat. For button maps, use controls.

You cannot finish this game alone. The official listing says so in plain language. If you loaded in without a friend, stop and read how to find a partner before you drag an empty pane into the first gap.

What you are looking at

The course is a vertical construction park, not a flat city. A river cuts the starting islands. Red hard hats sit on posts along the path — treat them as progress markers tied to checkpoints. In the distance, a hammer rig swings wrecking-ball mallets over a narrow walkway. Behind that, unfinished floors and cranes mark the top. The in-game branding sometimes says Bring the Glass; that is the same experience, not a different title.

One player usually reads as the blue side, the other as the red side. Agree on left/right before you touch the pane. The leader role is whoever calls jumps, not whoever has the cooler avatar.

First five minutes

  1. Favorite the experience so you can rejoin after a disconnect. A mid-climb drop without a checkpoint hurts.
  2. Stand at the statue and wait for your partner. Do not grab the glass until both of you can see each other.
  3. Pick up together. If only one avatar is holding, the pane will yaw and clip the first cone.
  4. Walk, do not sprint, across the grass and flowers to the first plank. The opening looks easy on purpose.
  5. Jump the first water gap on a count. “Three-two-one-jump” is on the callout sheet.
  6. Stop at the first hard-hat marker and confirm the checkpoint took. If you are not sure, read checkpoints before you go further.

If the glass shatters on the flowers, you stretched. Reset, stand closer, and try again. Stretching is funny once; it is the main beginner fail.

How the glass actually fails

The pane is a physics object both of you share. It breaks when it hits world geometry hard enough, when you stretch too far, or when one player falls while the other holds. Swinging hammers are designed to hit the glass, not just your head. Yellow-black cylinders are not decoration; they are hitboxes. A celebration emote on a moving plank is a shatter.

Protecting the pane is a whole guide: how to protect the glass. The short version for session one is: keep elbows in, face the same direction, and never turn 180 degrees on a beam.

Difficulty and expectations

This is an early beta, not a polished Steam port. Expect odd camera angles, avatar clipping through the pane, and sections that get patched. That is normal. Report real bugs to the developer through the official links; do not assume a script will “fix physics”.

There is no public ranked mode in the listing. Your first goal is one clean checkpoint, not a world record. If you have a code from the codes hub, redeem it in the lobby, not over water.

Platform notes for night one

  • PC: Keyboard movement plus whatever tilt bind the current build uses. Learn it on controls before the hammers.
  • Phone: Thumb sprint is the enemy. Lower camera sensitivity if the pane jitters.
  • Console: Controller support is live; see console support. Use headphones so callouts are not going through a TV delay.

Mixed-platform duos work, but the player with the worse camera should be the follower, not the leader.

After the first checkpoint

Stop and look at the hammer rig. If you feel rushed, leave the session on a win. Tomorrow, open the obstacle tier list and treat hammers as S-tier waits. The how to beat page is the rest of the tower.

If your partner rages, switch who leads. Most shatters in hour one are communication, not a hidden mechanic. The players hub exists for that argument.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for duos who keep shattering the pane.

Do I need Robux to start?

No. The experience is free to play. Skins and revives, if sold later, are optional. See codes for free strings when they exist.

Can I practice solo?

You can wander the lobby, but you cannot complete the climb alone. Use how to find a partner.

Is this the Steam Carry The Glass tutorial?

No. Different game, different controls. Stay on these Roblox pages.

Where do I go after the first checkpoint?

Read how to protect the glass, then the how to beat walkthrough.
