Carry the Glass Together How to Clear the Hammer Gauntlet

The swinging mallets are S-tier. This is the wait-and-walk, not a sprint tutorial.

Hammer Gauntlet

The hammer gantry is the prop that ends otherwise clean Carry the Glass Together runs. You can see it in the official course art: a frame of swinging mallets over a narrow walk, with the unfinished tower behind it. The obstacle rankings put hammers in S because they choose their own timing. You do not. This page is only that section. Stance and stretch still live on how to protect the glass. The rest of the tower lives on how to beat.

If you arrived from a YouTube thumbnail of ice bridges or a crab, you are watching Steam Carry The Glass. Stop. This Roblox gantry is a cycle of mallets, not a mouse-wheel lift. We do not embed those videos here.

What you are looking at

A safe slab in front of the frame. A walk line through the swing. Mallets that come down on a rhythm. A pane that has height, so a head that “missed you” can still clip glass. A checkpoint you should have banked before you stare at the first swing. If you did not save, walk back. A shatter here without a hat behind you is a long rebuild.

The leader watches one complete cycle from the slab. Not a half cycle. Not “it looks open”. One full down-and-away. The follower watches the leader’s shoulders, not the mallet. Watching the mallet is how people flinch-jump.

The only sequence that works

  1. Hold on the last safe slab. Short stance. Pane parallel to the walk, not diagonal.
  2. Watch one full swing. Name the away moment out loud.
  3. Walk, do not sprint, when the mallet is leaving your line. Closest-and-about-to-leave is a trap; that is the down swing you still have to share with the pane’s height.
  4. Keep walking until both avatars are past the last head. Stopping under the frame to “be safe” is standing in the next hitbox.
  5. Do not turn around for a clip. Turning yaws the pane into a post.
  6. Bank the next checkpoint before you talk about how close it was.

If the pane is taller than the gap, lower or rotate it on the slab, not in the swing. Tilt mid-gantry is a shatter with extra steps. Use the Tilt call from the callout sheet before you step in.

Why sprints die here

Sprint compresses your reaction window and stretches the glass. The follower who “almost made it” is usually the one who boosted to catch up. Catching up is a yank. Yank plus mallet is two fail reasons stacked. If you are behind, Hold. Let the leader stop. Restart the cycle. Ego is cheaper than a rebuild from the previous hat.

Phone players should lift sprint entirely. See how to play on mobile. Console players should drop look sensitivity so a flinch does not yaw 45 degrees — console support.

If a hammer tags you and you live

Stop anyway. A graze means the next head is closer than your confidence. Hold, reset stance, watch a new full cycle. Revenge walks are how segment 3 stays unbeaten on the how to beat page.

Name the fail in one word: early, sprint, tilt, turn, stretch. If you cannot name it, you will repeat it. Swap who leads if the same person keeps walking on the down swing.

Practice without wasting the tower

You do not need a speedrun to learn Wait. Sit at the slab, call the away moment, and walk an empty cycle without the pane if the lobby lets you peek. Then pick the pane up and do it for real. Five honest waits beat twenty “we can make this one”.

Do not download a script that pauses hammers. If a tool can freeze a mallet, it can freeze your account. Play the cycle that shipped.

After the gantry

The course opens toward cranes and height. Those are B-tier until you bring S-tier stretch with you. Collapse back to a short stance. Glance at duo roles if you need to switch who calls Now. Then keep climbing.

When updates retune mallet speed, reread this page, not a Steam clip. The call is still Wait. The walk is still a walk.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for duos who keep shattering the pane.

When do we start walking?

After one full cycle, when the mallet is leaving your line — not when it is closest. The leader calls Now once.

Should we sprint the gap?

No. Sprint stretches the pane and steals the Wait. Walk. Details in how to protect the glass.

We got clipped but the glass survived.

Hold and watch a new cycle. Do not cash in a graze. Bank the next checkpoint before you celebrate.

Is this the Steam hammer section?

No. Different game, different binds. See not the Steam game.
